This should be fixed, as "Join Lines" was implemented by Martijn Klingens on 
aKademy after KDE 3.3.0 (for KDE 3.3.1) and it has afaik the same behaviour as 
vim (adds a space at the end of line).
If I`m wrong, please reopen (you will have to test with KDE 3.3.1, which is not 
yet released).
