Summary: 'open file' dialog doesn't offer an option to show
invisible files
Product: kate
Version: 2.2.1
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
ReportedBy: plsdontreply arcor de

Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.75-default

When opening files with Kate, only 'visible' files/dirs are shown in the
selection list. I can't find any option for showing 'invisible' files/dirs like
'.htaccess'.

------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84031 Summary: remember encodings for every location one has visited Product: kate Version: unspecified Platform: Mandrake RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org ReportedBy: hhielscher unternehmen com Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs I have set my default encoding to utf-8, but everytime I open a file from a remote host I have to change the encoding. Even if I change the encoding and bookmark the location I have to change the encoding again everytime I open the bookmark. This is very inconvenient. Solutions: a) remember the used encoding for every location b) store the encoding inside the bookmarks
