Your main point in this report is:
"However, Ctrl-Q does not work when a mail composing
window is open and active."

in reference to _KMail_ not _Composer_, which is indeed invalid.
Ctrl+q in Composer should close Composer, not KMail -- and this is
(in other words) what Christophe pointed out (correctly).

And about behaviour, your last comment in the mentioned report seems
pretty rude for me (either _you_ are interested in solving issue or
don't bother).

Next time write more clear report, this one looks like written in a
hurry.
