You mean: archive/foo archive/bar archive/baz flat unpacking, right? Quick extract should preserve all the paths, unpack with keeping the structure of the folders. > >> or open the destination folder > >> after the extraction. > > > > Why not? > > a) there could be an option > > [ ] auto open folder after extraction > > You mean an item under the Settings menu, like we currently have > "Show statusbar"? If there is some (likely) sequence of actions it is good if UI put the actions next to each other, it is bad if the actions are scattered. This is status bar ----------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------- user unpacks archive (with success). She/he reads: ----------------------------------------------- unpacking XYZ successful @@@@@@@@@@@@ ----------------------------------------------- @ denotes unread yet message if it was all user wanted, ok, but if user wanted to see unpacked files, all it takes is to keep reading ----------------------------------------------- unpacking XYZ successful [ ^ ] ----------------------------------------------- [ ^ ] it is nice open icon. User clicks, and voila, see the content of the unpacked archive.
