I am saying mixture, because Tony has several tabs within start page which user could use instead of typing anything, and in your mockup the URL address is available directly, user doesn't have to choose what kind of connection it is. When you think of it is actually it is important, as with Konqueror you don't specify protocol first, and then go to URL, you just go to some URL -- this let's the user to forget about technicalities, and just paste or type acquired address.
