I should probably clarify my intentions. I am planning to make a
language-independent (i.e. not just Java) library for speculation that can
support more than one client VM. I think LGPL is the right license for
it, since it will be moving away from the SableVM project completely and I
see no compelling reason to change it.

The client code that is necessary to have in SableVM, eventually I would
like to migrate to the trunk, and so in the future changing the license
should not be much of a problem. However, at the moment, the stuff in my
sandbox is all mixed up, and I need to modularize things a bit more.

Yes, I think my situation is quite different --- it was heavily
research-oriented and didn't have much to do with making the trunk of
SableVM better.
