error during JRMP connection establishment;

there are several posts on this issue before but no solutions it seemed.
Can someone please suggest a solution to my problem:

I get the follow error only when I drive my remote call at fast data rate.

RemoteClient_Stub[...] exception: error during JRMP connection
establishment; ; nested exception is: java.net.SocketException:
Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 997: recv failed

on slow rate everything is ok, the above happens at less than 10msec
interval for each call (to the same remote method on the same remote
client, from the same remote server)

there seemed to be some sort of connection resource limits problem, since I
noticed there is a lot (>20) TCP connection ESTABLISHED from a netstat dump.

I think if I can make the remote call using the same socket/thread then the
problem would go away.

any help would be very much appreciated
