1. What is the easiest way to load such a MIDlet
in to a J2ME enabled phone ? ( I mean is it
possible to load the application to the phone using a data cable or some thing like that ?
)
Upload it on the phone, you can do it by using
direct phone connection or OTA
2. Does the make/brand of the phone matter ? Is
this loading method different from phone to phone ?
Ota works the same way for all phones, direct
phone connection depends on the phone. A phone
where deployment is very easy are nokia series 60 devices where you can
upload datas with irda or bluetooth
3. Should I need a mobile service provider who
supports J2ME in order to do this ?
Or is it enough to have a GPRS service provider ?
What you need is a public space where to upload
your jad/jar files, and the server where you upload them MUST support the
correct mime-types for jad/jar files. After that just put the url of your jad
file in your phone wap browser and look what happens (well, before that be
sure that the url is accessible, maybe using Sun's wireless
toolkit) ;-)
