You could try sending a WAP Push message with the url of the jad file. I haven't tried it but it's worth a shot.

Send an sms form an asp page that will launch the OTA installation. Is it possible and if yes, how?

As you can know carriers can send you SMS that will configure your GPRS connection, so what I want to do should be possible.
