WMA 1.1

Hi,
I have three Q's regarding this:

1) with WMA 1.1  (JSR-120) API's can we access native SMS inbox/Outbox?
2) Can we check that the message is 'Unread' or 'Read' message?
3) Can we send a message just like a normal SMS and receive that on non
java phone?
