Hello everyone,
We are using placelab to predict the relative distrance of a device,
like a PDA, from the Spotter device.
However, we have a little problem with it. If we get a reading from an
AP, the MAC address of that access point can be retreived which is what we want. However,
if we get a reading from a device like a PDA, we get the BSSID which is
not a unique number. In infrastructure mode it equals the MAC address of
the AP it is connected to and in ad-hoc mode, the BSSID constantly
changes. Is there a way for us to uniquely identify a PDA device ones it
was detected?
With kind regards
Chris
