Subject: [picocontainer-scm] [jira] Commented: (NANOPERSISTENCE-6) Allow project to compile under JDK 1.6

Joerg Schaible commented on NANOPERSISTENCE-6:
----------------------------------------------

This issue is somewhat obscure. Sun does not report any compatibility issue for
JDBC in the compatibility notes for JDK 6:
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/webnotes/compatibility.html

For JDK 5 there has been differences, but nothing regarding DataSource :
http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/compatibility.jsp

Even more both JDKs claim to include JDBC 3.0 while JDK 1.4.2 shipped with JDBC
2.1. Is our code compilable with JDK 5 and the incompatible code is doe to the
JDBC version?

> Due to changes in JDK 1.6's DataSource implementation, this project will no
> longer compile with JDK 1.6's javac as the default java compiler.
