In the absense of configuration for this property is sets the value of the
property to the value of the expression. I believe that since writing this
plugin maven has added 'default' as an annotation that might be more
appropriate here.

I have no problem with removing the need for a castorbuilder.properties but if
I recall doesn't the default put the code in the 'default' package?
