I am trying to do it less, myself, in order to verify for myself that that is
the root problem.

I need to overhaul my thinking on how to use exceptions. I have to take the
stuff I read on Ward's Wiki and put it to use somewhere. Perhaps this summer,
while I'm sharpening the saw and waiting for the next contract.
