PersonalJava is defined against JDK 1.1, not 1.2, you may be
thinking of J2ME/CDC. I did something similiar to what you're
doing with a slightly different servlet container :-) . I have
some notes on the problems I ran into at:

You won't run into exactly the same problems, but you
