The reason lies in the different JDK's used :
jboss-jmx.jar was compiled using another JDK than the one you are using
in JBuilder 4.

Subject: RE: [JBoss-user] Timer Server in JBoss (class file has wrong
version 47.0) when using jboss-jmx.jar
Thanks for the reply Guy, we were using this documentation - just wanted to
ensure that it is uptodate (we thought that is may have been outdated). The
main problem we have at present is that we can't seem to compile anything
when we use the jboss-jmx.jar package. We are using JBuilder 4 - and we
cannot even open the class (from inside the jar). It fails to load.
The error we get when we attempt to compile is:
Error #: 314 : cannot access class
javax.management.NotificationBroadcasterSupport; class file has wrong
version 47.0
Do you have any idea what could be causing this?
Regards
Alan.

The timer services are documented in the JBoss documentation (at least they
are in the 2.4.x version that I'm using.)

Subject: [JBoss-user] Timer Server in JBoss
Hello all,
We are tyring to implement a timer service in JBoss 3.0. We have some old
doco's but suspect that most of these do not apply anymore. Can anyone
please point us to the latest on timer services in Jboss with some examples?
Regards and thanks in advance
Alan.
