Re: Reference a parameter from another parameter

You can use the default value expression of the parameter to do this:
<parameter name="Parameter" .../>
<parameter name="NewParameter" isForPrompting="false">
    <defaultValueExpression>$P{Parameter}.convertToDate 
etc</defaultValueExpression>
</parameter>
