What I noticed in the release notes was under the New Feature section:

Kereberos Authentication Handler (http://www.ja-sig.org/issues/browse/ 
CAS-244)

The JIRA issue mentions JAAS, so I wasn't sure. Looking at it more  
closely, I guess those really are the 3.0.5 release notes (main  
download page is linking to them right under the 3.0.6 release).
