Domain Driven Design Quickly...: msg#00073java.jasig.cas.user
Folks, I was once quoted about the amazingly positive impact the Spring Framework has had on our development capabilities. A crucial part of that story is Domain Driven Design by Eric Evans. Spring provides the non-intrusive programming model that makes focusing on the problem domain possible. DDD provides you with the skills to focus on the problem domain and turn that into well designed code. The CAS3 implementation is heavily influenced by DDD. A new summary introduction to the fundamentals of DDD has just been published by InfoQ. It is highly recommended to anyone interested software development of complex domains like Identity Management, Enterprise Portals, Student Systems, Course/Learning Management, etc. :) http://www.infoq.com/minibooks/domain-driven-design-quickly Cheers, Bill -- William G.
