Where did Hudson get its name? ;o) Thank you for the kind words, and for that question. Where I work we have a group of engineers dedicated for building "official builds." They build your project every night and make it available, they keep the archives, etc. Over the time I got unhappy with this, because they only do it nightly, and our testing team only picks up those official builds. So there's always at least one day delay before I introduce a regression and testing catches it. So I wanted to give this software a human-like name, to make a point that we don't need a real person to do this. A program can do it a lot better, actually. And I thought a butler-like name would be good because it's all about assisting others, and Hudson sounded like an excellent butler name.
