I have the magicgball ear working now, but it required me to use the latest
unstable release of Geronimo (geronimo-1.0-169186). I check this out from the
HEAD source on the 17th of July 2005.

Here is the entries file from the .svn directory to help with any problems in
tracking down a version that works, as my version of svn has stopped working.

This is an area that could use extensive cleanup. I've never
understood what the MagicGBall was, it never worked for me. I tried
the "demo" a few weeks ago and it did work, but it does essentially
nothing. Removing or fixing these and installing the samples Sing Li
contributed would be a good idea.... the problem is time, at least for
me.
