I just wanted to let everyone on the mailing list learn first that
SureLogic is joining Fortify Software as a sponsor of the FindBugs
project.
SureLogic (http://www.surelogic.com/) is a startup that started work
commercializing the work led by William Scherlis on the Fluid project
http://www.fluid.cs.cmu.edu:8080/Fluid/fluid-people
Starting Fall 2007, SureLogic will be providing training, consulting
and support on a commercial basis to help companies effectively
integrate FindBugs into their software development process.
SureLogic will also be contributing to the open source FindBugs project.
As with the sponsorship by Fortify Software, while I very much
appreciate the support of SureLogic, it is very important to me that
these sponsorships not interfere with the status of FindBugs as a
free and open software project. I don't think it will cause any
complications, but please feel free to contact me directly if you
have any questions or concerns.
