Subject: [FB-Discuss] FindBugs is moving off of SourceForge...
Suggestionsfor alternatives?
OK, after having been generally unthrilled with sourceforge over the past
two years, the camel's back just broke.
SourceForge's developer's CVS has been down since Thursday morning, and as
far I can tell SourceForge doesn't give a rats' ass about it. They say they
can't give any estimate of when service will be restored.

So we are going to move the developer repository for FindBugs to some other
site.
We may still push all of our changes to SourceForge, and allow FindBugs
users to download stuff from SourceForge. But anyone wanting developer
access will need to migrate the the new site.
We also want to site where we can host an Eclipse auto-update site, which
means being able to provide downloads from a stable URL without going
through the ads sourceforge requires people to see before they can download
stuff. We'd also like to be able to get access to server logs for
downloads, which we can't do now.
We could pay a small amount for a good developers hosting site if it would
eliminate the frustrations with SourceForge.
Suggestions anyone?
Bill
