I'm curious, why do you need to use DOMParser? That should be transparent to you.

BTW, if you really do need DOMParser, you can always put XercesImpl.jar in the classpath and use it. I'm actually considering whether or not to use the original Xerces packages. The main reason I haven't so far is that it was easier not to, because XMLC-2.2.xx wrapped it into org.enhydra.apache.* in order to avoid clashes between Xerces1 while Xerces2 was in the classpath. But now that Xerces2 is being used, there's probably not a reason to continue to wrap it other than the fact that I'll have to change a lot of files to import the original packages.
