Hi Jake, Some background here.. The XMLCLogger class is intended to allow XMLC runtime classes to log information in different environments, such as enhydra, which had it's own syslog-like logger; the servlet logging API and anything else that came along (like log4j). The intention was not that the user call the XMLCLogger methods. It was not really designed to be a general-purpose logging API, only allow XMLC to work in different environments without modifying the code.
