Subject: Re: Log4jXMLCLogger class

Hi Jake,

Some background here..

The XMLCLogger class is intended to allow XMLC runtime classes to log
information in different environments, such as enhydra, which had it's own
syslog-like logger; the servlet logging API and anything else that came along
(like log4j).

The intention was not that the user call the XMLCLogger methods. It was not
really designed to be a general-purpose logging API, only allow XMLC to work
in different environments without modifying the code.
