XMLC close to ready - please read...: msg#00044java.enhydra.xmlc
Ok, I've checked in most everything I had planned to check in. The one thing will probably update is the jaxen.jar in build-lib to the official latest beta release (I have one built from the latest CVS there now). There are a number of unit tests that are failing. I believe there were unit tests failing well before I made any changes to XMLC. So, it is likely that, since the errors were ignored before, they might be inconsequential. However, I don't want to assume that. I'm hoping that a few people out there can evaluate the unit test errors and see if there are truly cause for concern. If not, we can release pretty soon, if so, we might have some work to do before release. Here is a small checklist of things to do... 1. Double check that OutputOptions has proper documentation. I've updated this significantly. However, there may still be a few gray areas. If people can fill in the blanks or correct any errors I've made, that would be excellent! 2. Check the unit tests. Either fix the tests to not fail or fix the code that is failing. I have very little time for this over this next week. I am leaving for vacation late Tuesday night and may not have much time on Monday or Tuesday to do much work anyway. Hence, someone has to run with this, verify everything is ok and set for release, and then actually make the release. David Li has done releases in the past, so hopefully he can do this one as well. Note that the Enhydra guys need an XMLC-2.2 release pretty soon. Actually, I think we are a bit behind the release date they wanted, so the sooner we get this stuff done and released, the better.
