Moving XMLC to Xerces 2 seems to #1 request. However, this is unlikely
to happen with the XMLC 2.x line with current codebase. I'd like to
propose a re-engineering of XMLC as XMLC 3. We need a new modularized
architecture so we can separate the problem and dependency.

I'd like to open a discussion on this...can we establish a time frame
for getting XMLC to Xerces 2? This would be tremendously helpful in
terms of integrating with modern appservers (and JDK 1.4)
