Problems with escaping <: msg#00009

Subject:	Problems with escaping <

Forgive my question, I am a newbie to XML and real new to kxml.

I write my XML document to a file using the fileOutputStreamWriter together with the XmlWriter. Now I have for example "<" for the "<" sign.

How can I change it? Any help would be great!
