Kelp with JBuilder 9: msg#00024

Subject: Kelp with JBuilder 9

Hey guys,

I originally posted this to the Kelp mailing list, but after looking at the
mailing list index page, the list appears to be completely dead since at
least July, so I'm not really expecting a response there. Anyway, this is
entirely a Kelp issue and not related to Enhydra specifically, but I was
hoping someone out there might be able to help me.

I've been trying to use Kelp 5.1 with JBuilder 9 and I've got a few
questions. First, I'm using it with Enhydra 5.0. It seems to work fine in
this regard, just wondering if anyone knows of any problems with doing this.

Secondly, it appears that you can only use XMLC compiling via an Ant task,
not via the JBuilder default rebuild/make process. Is this correct? If so,
does anyone know what is necessary to get the xmlc task to work properly
within ant? I receive this error:
"build.xml":
file:C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Joe%20Osburn/jbproject/hartshegos/build.x
ml:115: Could not create task or type of type: xmlc. at line 115

I verified all the necessary jar files were associated with ant; project
properties -> build -> ant -> "Libraries containing custom ant tasks" has
the Enhydra library associated with it the Kelp setup during the install.
This includes all the lib/xml* jar files, and build/anttask.jar. I also
restarted JBuilder just to be sure that wasn't an issue, and that did not
help.

Finally, in previous versions of Kelp, going to the properties form of an
html file would give you the option to "Generate DOM class". This seems to
be removed, and going to the properties simply brings you to the XMLC
options page. This would not be a problem, except that the command line
parameters field was removed, and I need custom command line parameters for
several pages. I have many different -implements that vary from page to
page. I am guessing this is because the JBuilder build functionality was
removed, and I will have to figure out some way to do it with the XMLC ant
task, if I can get that working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
