Geoff,

I believe it is an omission, because very few people (other than myself)
appear to have ever used server-side redirection). Another thing to keep in
mind in using server-side redirection, BTW, is that the request no longer
depends on the browser "remembering" the current directory, so you have to
adjust the reply url differently than you do with client-side redirection.
