David, I still don't exactly get your point. I happen to use Enhydra (*with* Tomcat) and its presentation objects; I find it far superior to using a set of plain servlets - if that's what you mean by "Tomcat". And, yes, a number of features that are provided by Enhydra have subsequently been included in Tomcat (such as session management). In those cases, I also tend to use the Enhydra-based features, mainly because I have more direct control over their behavior. However, it might be more useful if you would list the specific features of interest to you that were originally provided exclusively by Enhydra that are not offered by Tomcat (other than session management, discussed above).
