AppFileURIPath question

I use something like this to get the correct URL to do redirections
within my app...

comms.request.getAppFileURIPath( "stats.po" ) 

And it will return something like http://myapp.com/stats.po. Is there a
way to get the http://myapp.com part without having access to comms?
