EnhydraME email question

Hi,

I have a couple questions that I hope you can
answer...

1. When I receive email using the email client on my
phone I am alerted. Is EnhydraME always running and
can it alert me when messages come in? or do I have to
start EnhydraME and check email?

2. Can I call a J2ME Midlet (installed on the phone)
from a softkey (within the EnhydraME ) or href
embedded in an email?
