Re: Enhydra Director with Apache 2.0: msg#00047java.enhydra.general
<quote> Anyone planning to do this? RedHat 8.0 seems to dislike Apache 1.3x.. Overwrites with 2.0 unless you disable updates. Wondering whether to stick to 7.3, run 1.3x on 8, or port director? (I'd be willing to help, just not sure I have the skills necessary) Other comments? </quote> Hi all, I think, the port to Apache 2.0 is not worth it. Because as I spoke with Alfred Madl at the ObjectWeb Conference, he told me that the next generation of Enhydra (6.0) will be totally servlet container independent... So Enhydra application can run under every servlet container (Tomcat, Jetty, etc.). So, instead of using Enhydra Director, you can use Tomcat Load-Balancer... Best regards, BTW. Maybe Enhydra Teams can tell us more about this? -- --------------------------------------------------- Blasius Lofi Dewanto --------------------------------------------------- OpenUSS - Open University Support System http://openuss.sourceforge.net --------------------------------------------------- E-Mail : dewanto@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ICQ : 39343280 ---------------------------------------------------
