Enhydra: Compile enhydra 5.0: MacOs X OK but not my app !

Hello all,

I managed to compile enhydra 5.0 on MacOS X.
Thanks to Dragan who gave me the hint for the file names problem.
But I still have problems for compiling my java application built on 
enhydra.

Here is a note for MacOs X users (mybe it could be intersting to add it 
on the README file):
The previous version of stuffit expander I had (6.5...) was probably a 
carbon app and thus cut the file names to 31
characters when it decomress an archive. So the compiler could not find 
the files with names of more than 31 characters.

The solutions are:

1) either you do not uncompress automatically when you dowwnload from 
the web and you use the unix commands
gunzip and tar xvf

2) or you can download the latest version of stuffit expander (7.0) that 
corrects the bug.

I compiled the whole thing with the buildAll option without any memory 
problem.
The total time was 22 minutes 46 seconds.


Then I tried to compile my source code with the new enhydra 5.0
Previously, I used the files stdconf.mk and stdrules.mk of the 
enhydra3.1.1b1 included in the lib/ directory.
There are no such files in the enhydra 5.0. I presume that it is because 
everything is based on ant.

so I tried to copy the files in the new enhydra5.0/lib directory and 
tried to compile.
I worked for a while but it stops on an error I cannot solve:
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `java_pass'.  Stop.
The target java_pass is described in the file stdrules.mk so I don't see 
the problem.


Well, maybe I can find a solution if I rebuild entirely a new makefile 
but I was wondering how did you do
when you shifted from enhydra3.1.1b1 to enhydra5.0.
Did you use directly ant and then you wrote a build.xml for your enhydra 
application ?
Did you reuse and modify the files stdrules.mk and stdconf.mk ?

I wil also probably give you some fresh news concerning the compilation 
on LINUX.
I had a few hints from the list.
