bug report: incorrect content type in DwrServlet

Hello!

My name is Jens Nixdorf. I am with a German IT Consulting company.

Since almost a year I am working in project to provide a briefing software

for pilots of Virgin Atlantic Airways and other customers.

The solution consists of two parts. A swing-based cockpit solution and

an ajaxified JSF web solution which should behave similar to the cockpit

solution.

We discovered a bug related with Internet Explorer version 6 and below

which is not able to handle decompress zipped text files. Furthermore

the network environment of the ground solution inactivate the compressing

feature if the content type of the response is set to “text/_javascript_”.

We make use of DWR 2.0 RC 2. Unfortunately there is a bug in the

DwrServlet, which does not always set the content type of generated

_javascript_ code to “text/_javascript_”. See the server log.

 

It would be kind if you would inform us if you fix this bug.
