RE: Email distribution CVS Sendmail: msg#00109java.cruise-control.user

(I'm guessing no) http://cruisecontrol.sourceforge.net/main/configxml.html#emailpublisher Alternatively if the email addresses in CVSROOT/users have the full email address it should use those, unmodified. >> Where does CruiseControl get its email addresses from? Names come from the version control system and then there are various possible ways they can be mapped to the final address: 1. if the name is in CVSROOT/users it will use that email address 2. names are then checked against any nested map elements 3. an names/addresses w/out suffixes are given a default suffix (if one is specified) >> How can I get CruiseControl to only send one email, >> such as a build distribution list? skipusers = true & then use the always, success and/or failure nested elements as appropriate. Jtf -----Original Message----- From: cruisecontrol-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:cruisecontrol-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of James R. Marcus Sent: Sunday, December 28, 2003 1:01 PM To: cruisecontrol-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] Email distribution CVS Sendmail I have always had some minor flakeyness with sending mail from CruiseControl. These mail problems maybe due to poor configuration of Sendmail or CruiseControl. We have a new machine for CruiseControl so I spent sometime configuring, and troubleshooting Sendmail. I learned that I needed to configure the generics table in Sendmail to deal with the FROM address. Now emails come FROM the proper domain and not the FQDN of the machine. However the TO: address still shows up as user@FQDN instead of user@FQDN. On the CVS side I have configured CVSROOT/users. I have also configured /etc/aliases. Where does CruiseControl get its email addresses from? How can I get CruiseControl to only send one email, such as a build distribution list?
