Subject: RE: Finding modifications using VSS!

I think it is really a question of what VSS returns.  The VSS plugin queries for changes using the line "ss history [dir] -R -Vd[now]~[lastBuild] -Y[login] -I-N -O[tempFileName]".  If VSS returns the rollback as a change then CC should report it, but if VSS isn't giving us the information there's not a lot we can do about it...

Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] Finding modifications using VSS!

Greetings,

I just installed it and got it running on my machine it’s awesome!

Details about my environment:

Currently both the VSS client and server-path are one the same machine…

Question:

CC finds modifications if I have modified the files in the repository, however if I modify the files by rolling back to a previous version CC does not see the changes.

For example below CC does not detect changes if I revert back to version 2.

$/project/sample.xml

3    Anand      12/25/03   7:08p   Checked in $/ project

2    Anand      12/25/03   6:12p   Checked in $/ project

1    Anand      12/25/03   5:37p   Created sample.xml

I assume this is because CC uses history by date-time?

Is there a way to track the changes by the VSS version number?

Thank you,

Have a great holiday!

Anand Stephen
