RE:Missing 'Test Details' page: msg#00098

Subject: RE:Missing 'Test Details' page

Eventually got some info. out of the Tomcat logs - something about 'no more
free DTM IDs' coming out of the Xalan libs. Dug around the Xalan FAQ and
upgraded the Xalan libs under the JRE. This got rid of the error in the logs,
but the problem with the Test Details page persisted.

I had another look at the XML log (which is definitely valid XML, BTW) and
noticed that the logging level from our unit tests had been increased,
resulting in quite a lot of information in the [System.out] section of the
transformed HTML. I hand edited the logs to remove some of the logging and the
Transform got further through the XML log. I turned off the Unit test logging
altogether and hey presto the Test Details page came back to life.

Since all the unit test logging goes into a [CDATA[]] section, I can't see why
it would break the XSLT in any way. The only thing I could think of was that
since the System.out/err info. goes into a Javascript section of the
transformed HTML it was in some way violating some sort of size constraint???

Thanks,
James.
