RE: Mixing Multiple Builds with a time based /scheduled build.: msg#00035java.cruise-control.user
I have 2 separate CC processes running. In the config.xml file, there are 2 projects listed. Within the "schedule" tag, I use the "pause" starttime and endtime in each project. So, I pause the nightly process for 23 hours while the continuous one runs for 23 hours. And, I pause the continous process for 1 hour while the nightly one runs for 1 hour. I don't know if this is the best way, but it works for our app. -----Original Message----- From: Mike.McGowan@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Mike.McGowan@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 11, 2003 10:00 AM To: Cruise Control Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] Mixing Multiple Builds with a time based/scheduled build. In reading the CC documentation I found this: Because of this it is usually not a good idea to mix time builds and multiple builds in the same project as the multiple builds will "eat" all the changes before they can be detected by the time based builds. So, If would like to continue my CC builds initiated by commits to my source control system, AND do a scheduled build at midnight with all changes for the previous day, do I: a) Have 2 separate CC processes running. b) Use the multi-project option c) something else? TIA to you experienced users already doing something like this, Mike McGowan mike.mcgowan@xxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
