There
are a few situations where cc hangs that I know about:
1. hangs during building, ant process still around
2. hangs during building but ant process has exited, on linux w/jdk
1.4.1)
3. hangs during idle state
Situation #1 generally has nothing to do w/cc, but rather the build
itself hanging.
Situation #2 was a jdk bug on linux jdk 1.4.1.
Situation #3 is one I haven't tracked down but it seems that for some
reason the scheduling thread doesn't get notified when the previous build
finished, so it stays in a wait state forever. I'd love to figure out why
this is happening but I'll likely just change the implementation so it is not
possible.

Has anyone had problems with
Cruisecontrol locking up? I am running version 2.1.3 and have noticed
this several times in the past. Most recently, CruiseControl had been
running for about 3.5 weeks and then it just hangs. When I check the
status through the web interface, it simply says building. No amount of
pausing, or attempting to build again works. I am wondering if this is a
CruiseControl problem or a possible deadlock in one of our
projects.
