Hi,
First of all, thenk you for this beautiful piece of software.
I'm using Checkstyle on several projects. One of them can't be checked. The
corresponding Ant task keeps frozen (I perform several tests and let it working
during hours). By looking at a thread dump, I identified that the concerned
rule is "Check Constants". Without it, checkstyle runs well.

I forgot some context informations :
Checkstyle's problem appeared on a linux with Sun JVM 1.4.2-10. On my
Eclipse platform (Microsoft OS with Sun JVM 1.4.&_01), there's no problem.
There's no doubt : penguins are evils, aren't they?
