Installation problems? Examples not working

Hello,

I have some installation problems. I have installed
velocity and included the jar files inthe top level
directory and also in the bin directory. I am getting
appropriate response when I run

ant test


(with the exception that the testcase for anaika test
case due to which the build fails.
 


I am then building the examples using the 

ant examples
 
Then I am going to the Examples/app_examples1
directory and typing the following command

Tapan Mehta@VALUED-CB7D4C82
~/java/velocity-1.3.1/examples/app_example1
$ ./example.sh
Running Example with input file 'example.vm'
Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Example

Please guide me.
