Install and Use

I am very new to Velocity.  I have read through the documentation on the
Web Site.  I am trying the Hello Velocity World example in the docs, and
I am confused on how you actually get the engine running.  How does the
HTML page know to use Velocity?  I am using Tomcat as my web server
because I also do J2EE.  Sorry if this question has been asked a million
times.  I tried looking at the archived but they never came up.
