Hi,
I just started playing with iscsitarget.
Compiled and installed without errors on FC4 (just had to install
ssl-devel). Copied ietd.conf into /etc and changed only one line:
Lun 0 Path=/dev/sda
(/dev/sda is USB flashdisk which I tried to use for testing)
started iscsi-target with 3 lines in /var/log/messages:
Feb 28 21:07:09 localhost kernel: iSCSI Enterprise Target Software - version
0.4.13
Feb 28 21:07:09 localhost kernel: iotype_init(90) register fileio
Feb 28 21:07:09 localhost kernel: iotype_init(90) register nullio
anyway when trying to connect from XP SP2, initiator 2.01 I get only "Target
Error" message. There're some messages in Win eventlog such as:
The initiator could not send an iSCSI PDU.
Target failed to respond in time for a login request.
but no messages on target.
Tried to share loopback device(I really have NO real disk partition to
publish) - same problem
Port 3260 on target is not blocked
How do I enable some reasonable logging so that I can move forward?
Thanks for pointing
Miroslav
