oprofile on iet: msg#00121

Subject: oprofile on iet
Hi folks

I ran oprofile on iet for a while and got some results. iet is run on a
dual xeon and export scsi disk to ini. io were performed concurrently
via 2 sessions. all results attached.

no matter read or write, the copy_user_generic is hit most. not sure if
this is just because iet is a data mover application, or because this
file io interface is not that efficient? do you think the mmap io
interface in stgt will save this copy?
