Nabble didn't really removed them, we just didn't process the attachments. It's
a tough call. If we accept attachments, then we have to do virus scanning and
be sure that we're not proliferating natsy stuff.

If the patches were added to the message, that would be fine. Of course, that
does work for an exe, catch 22. Those probably should be uploaded to SourceForge
or your web site or whatever with a link provided to the location.
