Seems I was a bit hasty: it helped, but it did not fix it completely.
While running bonnie++ during the night, the 3rd one created a OOM
situation again.

Would it not be ok to preallocate all 4 (or 32) buffers, so there's no
memory to
allocate dynamically? According to Ming's mail, there's not so much to
allocate anyway, so even when using a small memory target, allocating
4 times 128kb once and for all seems reasonable to avoid OOM.
I'll try later with QueuedCommands=1 and see how this goes.
