Actually I've never had a Windows iPod work on a Mac. My first few experiences told me to never try it again as plugging them in and opening up iTunes would wipe out the iPod completely. I always thought that was a handy feature. This was with multiple iPods on multiple Macs, so it wasn't an isolated incident.
