Defrag Problem

Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem.

I noticed that a few of my newly transfered songs are skipping every so
often, and I figured it's defrag time. The only problem is, that I can't get
the iPod to defrag. I'm using WinXP Pro (With all the lastest updates) and
in the past have never had this problem,  I don't know if it's due to
Firmware 1.2.6 or what.

To defrag I've used both WindowsXP's own version as well as O&O Defrag Pro
(awesome tool) and both seem to be waiting on the iPod to start the process
but there isn't even any activity (with the 'transfer' icon on the iPod's
screen). I can quit both, and still access it with chkdsk (which works fast
and fine) and transfer to and from it without a problem.

If anyone can help me I'll gladly appriciate it.
